Sustainable Building Program

Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is proud to be a leading builder of affordable housing along the Gulf Coast.  We are constantly evaluating our construction processes and developing new ways to build simple, decent and affordable housing that is also energy efficient, durable, and sustainable.

To demonstrate our commitment to sustainable building practices, HFHMGC is currently finishing construction on its first home registered with the USGBC’s LEED for Homes Program.  The house in Pascagoula, Mississippi is designed and built to achieve LEED Silver certification.  Click on the tabs to the left to learn more!
